Understanding the sizes

Hole saws are sized by the diameter of the hole they cut. This set covers 19, 22, 29, 32, 38, 44, 51 and 64mm. The arbor holds the saw and carries a pilot drill that locates the cut and stops it wandering.

Working with hole saw

Run at a slow speed with steady pressure — hole saws overheat easily, and heat is what kills the teeth. Back the saw out regularly to clear the waste plug and let it cool. In metal, use cutting fluid.
