It depends on the generation and the engine: the Ford Fiesta has been built with 7 battery sizes (027, 063, 065, 075, 096, 100, 110). The newest first:

  • Fiesta MK 8 B479 (2017–2024): size 096, 100 or 027 (EFB); size 100 or 075 (standard)
  • Fiesta MK 7 B299 (2012–2018): size 100 or 110 (EFB); size 100, 075, 063 or 110 (standard)
  • Fiesta (2008–2016): size 075, 065 or 063 (standard)
  • Fiesta (1995–2002): size 075, 100 or 065 (standard)

Cars with stop-start need a stop-start battery (EFB or AGM), never a standard one: it would wear out within months. If your car takes AGM, it needs AGM again.

Does my Ford Fiesta need an AGM battery?

If it came with AGM, yes: an EFB or standard battery would wear out quickly. If it has stop-start and came with EFB, EFB is right and an AGM is an optional upgrade. Without stop-start, a standard battery is right. The table above shows what each version was built with.

Do you take the old battery?
