What is the difference between a flange and a swan neck towbar?
A flange ball bolts to a plate, which lets you add accessories such as a stabiliser or a bumper protector. A swan neck is a single curved casting, which looks neater and often suits vehicles with parking sensors better.
Will a fixed towbar affect my parking sensors?
It can, because the towball sits inside the area the sensors monitor. Some vehicles allow the sensors to be recalibrated, and on others a detachable towbar is the better answer.
How do I know what my car can tow?
The maximum towing weight is set by the vehicle manufacturer and appears in the handbook and on the VIN plate. It is not something a towbar can increase.
