Elring Dirko HT 036.164: a grey, high-temperature silicone gasket sealant in a 70 ml tube, and the gasket sealant our counter recommends first. It is a one-component oxime silicone that cures at room temperature with the moisture in the air and stays permanently elastic, so it can replace or support a gasket on engine and transmission covers.

Where to use it

Valve (rocker) covers, oil pans and sumps, water and oil pumps, differential housings, gearboxes, axle covers, thermostat housings and flange connections. Resistant to mineral and synthetic oils, lubricating grease, coolants, hot and cold water, salt water and weak acids and alkalis.

Using it

Surfaces should be clean, dry and free of oil before the sealant is applied. Also in a larger workshop size: Elring 471.501.
