Understanding the sizes
Bits are identified by tip type and size — PH, PZ, Torx (T), hex and slotted. Tamper-proof and security bits carry a centre hole or an unusual flute pattern so they engage fasteners a standard bit cannot.
Working with screwdriver bit set
Bits are consumable: a worn tip is what rounds a screw head, so replace them rather than persevering. Keep them in the holder so sizes stay identifiable, and use an impact-rated bit if you are driving with an impact driver — standard bits snap under that shock load.
