Understanding the sizes
Discs are specified by diameter, bore and thickness. A thinner disc cuts faster with less heat; a thicker one lasts longer and resists snatching.
Working with cutting disc
Match the disc to the material — a cutting disc is for cutting only and must never be used flat for grinding, which can shatter it. Let the disc reach full speed before it touches the work, keep it straight in the cut, and always fit the guard and eye protection.
