Understanding the sizes
Straps and tie-downs are specified by width, length and working load limit. The working load limit is a fraction of breaking strain — never load to breaking strain.
Working with tie down strap
Run the strap over the strongest part of the load and avoid sharp edges, which cut webbing under tension. Take up slack before ratcheting, and check tension again after the first few miles as loads settle. Store webbing dry; damp and UV both weaken it.
What it is for
Securing loads on vehicles, trailers and roof racks, and strapping equipment for transport or storage.
Genuine BlueSpot Tools.
