Understanding the sizes
Screwdrivers are described by tip type and blade length — PH for Phillips, PZ for Pozidriv, and a width in millimetres for slotted. Phillips and Pozidriv look similar but are not interchangeable; a Pozidriv screw has extra fine lines between the main slots.
Working with screwdriver
A driver only works properly when the tip fully seats in the screw head. Match the tip to the screw, press firmly along the axis of the fastener and keep the driver square — most cam-out and chewed heads come from a tip slightly too small or held at an angle. A soft grip handle makes a real difference on a long job.
