The Blue Spot Tools 35 PCE Sanding and Preparation Disc Set contains a wide range of abrasive discs for surface conditioning, paint and rust removal, sanding, cleaning, grinding, stripping, deburring, polishing, finishing, gasket removal, self-sharpening, scuff blending, sticker removal and other adhesive removal. The set features 15 coarse, medium and fine 2″ flexible woven nylon discs and 15 sandpaper discs 60, 80, and 100 grit. The set also comes complete with 4 diamond polishing discs. The 1/4″ quick change mandrel is suitable for use with all the discs in the set and saves time when moving between the different grits. The flexible nature of the discs means they are highly suitable for use on intricate areas.

Understanding the sizes
Abrasives are specified by size and grit. This set covers 60, 80 and 100 grit. A lower grit number is coarser and removes material faster; a higher number leaves a finer finish.
Working with abrasive
Work through the grits rather than trying to jump straight to a fine finish — each grade removes the scratches left by the one before. On a flap disc, work at a shallow angle of 10 to 15 degrees and keep it moving: laid flat it glazes, stood on edge it gouges.

Weld dressing, deburring, rust and paint removal, edge blending and surface preparation before finishing.
