The Blue Spot Tools 7 PCE Cleaning and Polishing Kit is excellent for removing scratches from hard metals such as aluminum, brass and stainless steel. The set includes 3 100mm (4″) polishing wheels (1 medium and 2 firm) and an arbor so that it can be used in a powered drill. The set also contains 3 polishing compounds for different finish types.

Understanding the sizes
Abrasives are specified by size and grit. A lower grit number is coarser and removes material faster; a higher number leaves a finer finish.
Working with abrasive
Work through the grits rather than trying to jump straight to a fine finish — each grade removes the scratches left by the one before. On a flap disc, work at a shallow angle of 10 to 15 degrees and keep it moving: laid flat it glazes, stood on edge it gouges.
