For the 3008 Mk2: 1.2 PureTech (EB2 Gen 1/Gen 2, timing belt), 2.0 BlueHDi (DW10F), 1.5 BlueHDi (DV5R) (2018–2023), 1.5 BlueHDi (DV5R, built Feb 2023 on).

PSA B71 2290 oil

For the 3008 Mk1: 1.6 VTi / THP, 1.6 / 2.0 HDi. Peugeot, Citroen and DS's 5W-30 low-ash specification, mostly for cars built before about 2017.

PSA B71 2312 oil

For the 3008 Mk2: 1.6 PureTech 180 / THP (EP6FDT), 1.6 BlueHDi (Euro 6, AdBlue) (2016–2018). Peugeot, Citroen and DS's 0W-30 specification for many newer engines with a particulate filter.

PSA B71 2010 oil

For the 3008 Mk2: 1.2 PureTech Gen 3 (engine code EB2LT…, timing chain, incl. 1.2 Hybrid) (2023 on). Peugeot, Citroen and DS's 0W-20 specification for some newer petrol engines.

What grade of oil does a Peugeot 3008 use?

Does my 3008 need low-ash (low SAPS) oil?

If it has a particulate filter, yes: use the low-ash approval its handbook lists, such as PSA B71 2290 or PSA B71 2312. A high-ash oil can block the filter over time.
